Sales Development Representative Job Description:

Our marketing team is looking to add a Sales Development Representative with a strong understanding of Sales Development. The ideal candidate knows how to mobilize existing content on social media and other community platforms to generate interest in IT B2B services and identify leads generation. They should also be able to think strategically to identify and help fill in holes in the overall content and marketing strategies.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will generate new business opportunities (“Pipeline”) by following proven processes to prospect into Commercial accounts. You’ll learn how to identify and research lists of companies and leads to target, and how to develop and generate new business opportunities.

We want you to be actively prospecting on platforms where relevant decision-makers congregate, raising awareness of our services and track record of customer success, and starting authentic one-to-one conversations with potential end customers.

Sales Development Representative Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a B2B marketing context (IT services experience)
  • Proven experience generating new business pipeline and interest through calling on inbound leads
  • Strategize with top-producing account executives
  • Engage executives in targeted prospect accounts
  • Orchestrate discussions with senior execs around their business needs
  • Orchestrate discussions with senior execs around their business needs
  • General knowledge of best practices for social media marketing & prospecting
  • Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to both own individual goals and function as part of a strong overall marketing team
  • Ability to manage daily routines & long-term goals with ad hoc priority projects
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects
  • Leverage CRM and sales intel tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and verticals
Daily/Regular Responsibilities
  • Researching and understanding various lines of business and personas
  • Actively participating on message boards, communities, etc. around our services
  • Maintaining rSTAR’s presence on B2B social platforms (G2, Crunchbase, etc.)
  • Developing profiles of individuals/companies who are highly active
  • Building a point of view on how to help qualify customers’ needs
  • Drafting/publishing/sharing social media
  • Partnering closely with Account Executives to help move along qualified pipeline through the sales cycle
  • Discovering business initiatives and acting as their internal advocate
  • Building credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders
  • Learning how to anticipate and prepare for objections
  • Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility as part of a growing sales organization
  • Managing a high volume of inbound leads with a strategy on prioritization of your leads
